Fish cake Jamie Oliver

I like to cook more fish but not how. If you have ever uttered this phrase and you can forget it, this fish pie you will get rid of that existential question once and for all. Really, this recipe have to do, the going to repeat for ever and ever.

I've talked about Jamie Oliver on another occasion (speaking also a fish recipe, by the way), and it is high enough known in these parts, so I will not expand on your presentation. Just to say that when I came across this recipe via video in the kitchen, I quickly wrote it down to make it, for several reasons.

Firstly because he had not yet managed to make a fish pie which does not take too much dairy product, almost every recipe that was carried bechamel, nothing against that sauce but no, I tallied. Secondly, because most recipes also abounded in vegetables. Thirdly and for these two reasons, the resulting flavor not just convince me.

However, Jamie's recipe takes quite vegetables: carrots, tomatoes, spinach, celery. It takes a bit of cheese, okay, but it can happen, it gives a touch but does not kill the other flavors. And most of all, because it is RI-Qui-Si-MA.

It is fully customizable, perfect for Cooking without recipes section, and going all raw, easy as could be. It is also perfect for children, the taste of fish is not something that is easily accepted by children input, but that's something else. This recipe is a good example of the spirit of pink pepper: cook healthy recipes, easy and tasty, it has everything. Do not miss the video . Oh, I forgot, I did it once with chicken instead of fish and they also suck his fingers.

INGREDIENTS:

1 kg potato

1 carrot

2 stalks celery

150 grams of grated cheese (cheddar in the original recipe)

1 lemon

A few sprigs of parsley

300g salmon fillet, skin and bones

300 grams of fresh cod

125 grams of peeled shrimp

a bunch of spinach

2 ripe tomatoes

salt, pepper and extra virgin olive oil

PREPARATION:

Preheat the oven and put the water to boil for the potatoes peeled. In an oven casserole are grated carrots, celery, cheese and some lemon zest. Mix well (with your hands better). Cut the fish into pieces and is also added, as well as the spinach leaves and tomatoes cut into quarters. Also add the parsley and lemon juice. Salt and pepper and a splash of olive oil. The original recipe has grated fresh chilli too but I will not put.

From there we just need to put over mashed potatoes that we will have obtained crushing boiled potatoes, and add a splash of olive oil, salt and pepper.

Bake for 40 minutes or until you see that swarm and juices in the pan and the potato is golden.

They give me joy, because although my kids love fish, I'm bored of the plate and oven. And so far find a fish cake recipe without eggs or milk has been impossible.

Tell them that I have done and has gone great, I found my spectacular, but not depressed children tell me that they like are more older than my kids, 4 and 2 years who did not like anything ... that frustrating!

I also have tried, and as Patricia, my 2 year old twins and a half did not like anything, and that they are good eating fish and vegetables ... Anyway, may have to be slightly older ... to me loved it, but next time will reduce to a minimum the ripe tomatoes lemon and perhaps remove ... Oh, and I added zucchini, which although very finely cut, was somewhat crude ... will continue testing ...
